Polly Bradshaw Obituary

Polly Bradshaw VIRGINIA BEACH - Polly Bradshaw went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Oct. 6, after a long illness. Polly is survived by her loving brother, Eugene Bradshaw of Basye, Va.; sisters, Dorothy Kenaga of Rochester, Mich., and Judy Henry, of Plymouth, Mich.; extended family members and her many friends at Support Services of Virginia. We will all miss Polly's sense of humor, loving personality, and charm - she was a real lady! Polly was a survivor, having overcome many obstacles along her journey. Her strength and tenacity inspired others and reminded them to maintain grateful hearts! A reception will begin at noon and continue after the 1 p.m. memorial services Monday, Oct. 25, at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Road, Virginia Beach. The Rev. Sam Jones will be presiding. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.altmeyer.com.

My grandmother (Evelyn Langley Yohe) was you mother's best friend. They worked together at Smith and Weltons department store in the office. I remember Polly and Ester very well and some of the other family members also when we would have cookouts and sing song together at your parents house with my 2 sister and brother when my grandmother would visit. I remember Mr Bradshaw too. I was very young but I remember and still have pictures passed down to me from my grandmother. The girl scout camp near by using their grills. Our memories will keep them with us always. Susie Yohe Garrett
