Ralph B. Crane Obituary
Ralph B. Crane

Virginia Beach - Ralph Bren Crane, 65, of Nanneys Creek Road, went to be with the Lord on March 21, 2014. Ralph was born September 9th 1948 in Centralia, Illinois and spent his early years in Sandoval, Illinois where he excelled academically and used his vast social skills to keep the Pepclub in high spirits. He is predeceased by his parents, Win and Clara Crane; siblings, Wayne Crane, Lonnie Crane, Mary Brownett, and Elsie Breed.

Left to honor and cherish his memory are his wife of 36 years, Bonnie Woodhouse Crane; sisters, Faye Wright, Winona Sans and husband Larry, Ada Noller and husband Roy, Ruth Crane and partner, Ann Tobin; brothers, William Crane and wife Carolyn, Kirk Crane and wife Joyce; his sisters in laws, Melva Brown and husband Bernard, and Diane Woodhouse, along with 21 nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and nephews. Ralph leaves many friends and 3 God children whom he loved and cherished in their happy times together.

Ralph came to Virginia Beach to visit his sister and brother-in-law who were stationed here in the Navy for what he thought to be a 2 week visit, but he loved the Tidewater area so much that he decided to make it his home.

Ralph attended Southern Illinois University and various accounting schools and was a registered licensed barber for over 30 years where he shared stories and jokes with his clients. Ralph enjoyed communicating with friends on Facebook, playing his guitar and other musical instruments, reading, watching wrestling on television, fishing, gardening and growing big tomatoes, and playing with his buddies, Budwizer, his puggle and Lil' Mitz, his precious cat.

The family wishes to thank all the doctors, nurses, physical therapists, friends, and Creeds Fire and Rescue who have expressed their love and admiration for Ralph through prayers, cards, and acts of service. We are truly grateful.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Charity United Methodist Church followed by burial in the church cemetery. Condolences may be offered at www.hollomon-brown.com. Memorial donations may be made in Ralph's honor to Creeds Fire and Rescue.
