Robert Jones Obituary

Robert Lee Jones SUFFOLK - Robert Lee Jones, 60, was born June 14, 1949 in South Hampton County, Virginia. He was a 1967 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School and attended Norfolk State University. He served two years in the U.S. Army, as well as he served in the U.S. National Guard. He was a postal supervisor of 32 years before retiring from the U.S. Postal Service. On Friday, April 9, Robert Lee Jones entered into eternal rest at HCA Richmond Hospital. He will sorrowfully be missed by his wife, Barbara Jones; mother, Gracie Bunch (Johnny); son, Randall Jones; daughters, Rosalind Trotter (Kenny) and Tamika Riddick (Travis); sister, Charlene Brown (Charles); two brothers, the Rev. Jarvis Jones and John Bunch; aunt, Mabel Howell; six grandchildren; a host of family and friends. Mr. Jones will be on view Tuesday, April 13, from noon to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will receive guests at 201 Locust St. at all other times. A service of remembrance will be held Wednesday, April 14, at 11 a.m. at Antioch Baptist Church. He will be laid to rest at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. Professional funeral arrangements are entrusted to T.E. Cooke - Overton Funeral Home Inc.
