Robert Litterst Obituary

Robert J. Litterst SUFFOLK - Robert James "Bob" Litterst, 82, passed away Aug. 30, 2010. He was born in Chicago, the son of the late Mary Grace Ashcraft Litterst and Harry Litterst. He was a U.S. Navy veteran having served during World War II. He later went on to retire from the U.S. Postal Service. Bob was a member and past master of the Lake Drummond Lodge No. 178 AF & AM. He was also a member and past patron of the Victory Chapter No. 16 O.E.S. Bob is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ann E. Litterst of Suffolk; daughters, Julie Voeller of Ogden, Utah and Marcia Rodriguez of Appomattox, Va.; son, Robert G. Litterst of Wake Forest, N.C.; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister; and one brother. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, Sept. 4, at 2 p.m. at Lake Prince Woods with Chaplin Woodie Rea officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date at Nansemond Suffolk Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Lake Drummond Lodge No. 178, 509 George Washington Hwy. N., Chesapeake, VA 23323 or a charity of your choice. Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
