Robert Delmar Myers VIRGINIA BEACH - Lt. Col. Robert Delmar Myers, U.S. Marine Corps retired, passed away peacefully April 16, 2010 surrounded by his loving family. Born Sept. 7, 1931 to the late Williamson and Helen Myers in Walla Walla, Wash., Mr. Myers served our country proudly in the U.S. Marine Corps, retiring after 26 years of honorable service. He was a graduate of Oregon State University. He was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Bob loved spending time with his family and friends. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, grandfather, great- grandfather and friend. He will be deeply missed. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 57 years, Marion Myers; three sons, Robert Myers and wife Susan, Steven Myers and David Myers and wife Catherine. He had nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a sister-in-law, Patricia Waler. Burial at Arlington National Cemetery will be held at a later date.
