Robert Reid Obituary

Robert Harding Reid CHESAPEAKE - Robert Harding Reid of Georgetown Boulevard was peacefully called home to eternal rest Oct. 20, 2010. He was born May 16, 1921 to the late Estelle Reid Bray in Norfolk. He was predeceased by his wife, Alice Reid. Robert was a graduate of Union Kempsville High School, Virginia Beach, and attended Virginia State College. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a merchant seaman for 34 years and retired in 1980. He is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A homegoing service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Metropolitan Funeral Service, Berkley Ave. Chapel. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

My deepest sympathy goes out to the Reid family. Mr. Reid was my favorite patient @ Musselmani Internal Medicine. He seem to always bring a smile to my face. Mr.Reid will truly be missed.
