Rolandus Garner
Portsmouth - Rolandus "Duke" Garner also known as Supersize, 53, of the 500 block of Truman Circle departed this life on Monday, May 6. He worked as a truck driver and as a security guard for Portsmouth Public Schools. Duke was a 6 year cancer survivor and a spokesperson for the VA Breast Cancer Foundation. He was also the president of Thunder and Lightening Motorcycle Club. Left to cherish his memory is his daughters, Corteya Banks and "Star" monya Garner; two brothers, Matthew (Shane) Garner and Wayne Garner; three grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Viewing will be held from 2 until 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 11. A life celebration service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 13 at First Baptist Church Camelot, 1008 Sir Lancelot Drive, Chesapeake with Rev. Cecil Wicker officiating. Burial will be in Jordan Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Winton, NC. The family has entrusted J. T. Fisher Funeral Services to handle the final care arrangements.
