Ronald Girard Obituary

Ronald W. Girard NORFOLK - Ronald William "Billy" Girard, 45, passed away June 3, 2010 in a local hospital as a result of an accident. A loving father and truly dedicated family man, he was a member of Trinity Christian Fellowship and a driver for Edy's Ice Cream. Billy was a graduate of Hazleton High School and then he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and his last assignment was in Portsmouth where he fell in love with the Hampton Roads area of Virginia and decided to become a permanent resident. Surviving are his wife, Kristy A. Girard; two sons, Ryan William Girard and Justin Thomas Girard and a daughter, Kacey Lynn Girard, all of the home; his father, Ronald Dale Girard of Roanoke, Va.; his mother, Catherine (Judge) Girard of Hazleton, Pa.; one brother, Michael Joseph Duffy, Hazleton; five sisters, Loretta Marie Sufrinko, Wilkes- Barre, Pa., Patricia Ann DeAngelo, Hazleton, Kathleen Frances Dillman, Ringtown, Pa., Linda Carol Covey, Drums, Pa., and Sharon Jean Girard, Hazleton; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. I am so very sorry to hear of Ron's passing. He delivered Edy's to the Fort Eustis commissary and I liked him very much. He was so good at what he did. My condolences to the family. Marjo Brooks
