Ruth Webster Obituary

Ruth A. Webster VIRGINIA BEACH - Ruth A. Webster, 88, formerly of River Cove Point, passed away May 2, 2010 in Chesapeake. A native of Weyburn, Sasr, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Lotti Ott and the widow of Cmdr. Audrey C. Webster. She retired from civil service. She was a member of the Mace Chapter of American Business Women, Auxiliary member of the Retired Officers Club, Republican Women's Club, Naval Supply Center Retired Association and the Navy League of the US Norfolk Women Council. She is survived by four stepdaughters, Sandra Webster, Shirley Novotny of Virginia Beach, Crystal Webster and Elizabeth Kneisley of Chesapeake; two stepsons, David Webster of Orlando, Fla., and Thomas Webster of South Korea; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted Friday at 1 p.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel with Pastor Randy Childress officiating. The burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. So very sorry to hear about "The Ruth," as she always referred to herself. Great gal, always wearing a smile and bringing smiles to others! Happy memories of our years as neighbors on Kings Grant Road. Thinking of you all.
