Shirley Jordan Obituary

Shirley Mae Jordan NORFOLK - Shirley Mae Jordan of the 900 block of E. 29th St., was called home to her Lord and Saviour Oct. 24, 2010. She was born March 12, 1930. Mrs. Shirley, also known as Grandma Shirley, was predeceased by her parents, John and Mayflower Claiborne, husband, Melvin Leroy Jordan Sr., and special friend, Joseph Hagan. She leaves behind her loving devoted children: sons, Martin Jordan and Eric Jordan (Robin); daughters, Melvina (predeceased Quintin) Martin, Sharon Briscoe, Beverly Anthony (Arthur Sr.), Joann Jordan, Kim Merchant; son-in-law, George Phillips (predeceased Roslyn); daughter-in-law, Joyce Jordan (predeceased Melvin), and a host of family and friends. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, at Mason Memorial COGIC, Pastor Lonell Anthony officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
