Stephen Reap Obituary

Stephen T. Reap VIRGINIA BEACH- On April 9, 2011, Stephen T. Reap returned to his maker. He was born June 11, 1956 in Laguna Beach, Calif. He is survived by his mother and father, Thomas S. Reap and Veronica A. Reap; by a son, Thomas S. Reap, daughter, Veronica C. Reap, son, Philipp Reap and daughter, Parris Anne Reap. He is also survived by a brother, Thomas Reap and wife Brooks, sister, Patricia Blecha and husband Rob; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. As a member of a military family, Stephen traveled extensively, having lived in California, Texas, North Carolina, New Jersey, Nebraska, Virginia and his favorite Hawaii, where he developed his love and expertise as a surfer. He graduated from High School in Hawaii and received an Associate of Arts degree from the University of Hawaii. Stephen's remaining years were spent mostly in the Virginia Beach area. He was able to develop his own business "Reap Industries" carpet and vinyl sales and installation; his 30-year-old business is still located on Virginia Beach Blvd. Stephen is particularly loved by his family for his selfless devotion to them as a loving father. He was noted for his smile and willingness to help all. Special thanks are offered to all the staff and nurses at the Virginia Commonwealth University Hospital in Richmond for their care during his stay. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, 1264 N. Great Neck Road, Virginia Beach, from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 15. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your favorite charity. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
