Tammy Steinert Obituary

Tammy Jo R. Steinert FRANKLIN - Tammy Jo Russell Steinert, 37, died June 12, 2010 at her residence. She was born in Pasquotank County, North Carolina and was a graduate of Franklin High School and Radford University. Tammy Jo was a regulatory author for 3E Corporation and was recently studying environmental law with the online Concord Law School of Kaplan University. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jessica Austin and Jonathan Steinert; her mother, Linda W. Curle (Tim); her father, Joseph W. Russell (Carole); maternal grandmother, Edna R. Wise; and three uncles, Louis "Frankie" Wise Jr., Michael Wise and Chris Wise. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 19, in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Lelia Cutler and the Rev. Stanley Nixon officiating. Interment will follow in Southampton Memorial Park. Donations for the children may be sent to E. W. Sawyer, P.O. Box 1267, Franklin, VA 23851. I had the pleausre of working with Tammy @ Marine Forwarding Company. She was a true blessing to us, always kind hearted, very intelligent, finding positive things to say about everyone no matter how her day was unfolding @ work. We had met many times to have lunch together and I marveled at how much her daughter was an identical twin of Tammy!! I did not get the chance to see Tammy lately and have not met her son, but we kept saying "lets get together for lunch", I've seen pics of her son the last time we had lunch together, and he's a beautiful sweet baby boy... Amazing Jessica how much you are like your MOMMY!!! A beautiful spirit & soul, a loving friend, and the best MOM any kid could ever have, Tammy, we LOVE YOU, and PRAY daily for your children, your MOM,DAD, and your uncles , especially you Mike Wade who experienced such hardship because you were there, BLESS YOUR HEART!! May God give you all peace in your heart that Tammy is with Jesus, and Jessica and your brother that she will always being LOOKING AFTER YOU along side Jesus who is IN YOUR HEART and will always be there for you, when you need your MOM's guidance, just pray to Jesus to heal your heart and guide you in the manner in which your mom would have guided you. There will always be a SWEET MEMORY of your MOM,Daughter,Neice,grand-daughter because she was the SWEETEST GIRL EVER...I am so incredibly sorry for your LOSS - words are hard to describe how much hurt I feel for your family. Tammy was always a true blessing to anyone who knew her.She always talked of how important her children family were to her and will always be remembered for her sweet personality.

Though I haven't met Tammy, we shared the bond of being in the same school at Concord. The loss of her life is very tragic, especially given the circumstances. Our hearts go out to those she leaves behind at this time and in the days ahead.

Tammy was my supervisor and I considered her a friend. She was a very sweet and smart person. She knew her stuff. She talked about her children often in a positive way. She loved those children. She told me when she moved back she was glad to be back close to her family. When she was able to work from home she was excited she got to work in her "jammies" and was happy that she would be home in the summer time so that the children would have more chances to do things that they normally wouldn't have been able to do. Tammy was loved by her co-workers and I will miss her bunches.
