Thomas E. Jacobs

Chesapeake - Thomas E. Jacobs died November 8, 2013 in his home.

Mr. Jacobs was born in Utica, NY on May 12, 1934. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict and he was a member of the VFW Post 4809 in Norfolk, VA, and was also a Fourth Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of American Cribbage Congress and he was a proud member of the local chapter. Mr. Jacobs enjoyed teaching anyone who wanted to learn the game whether volunteering at the YMCA, or in your backyard, it was all about the game.

Thomas is survived by his loving wife Anne Ryszka Jacobs; daughters, Jeanne M. Jacobs and her children Emily and Caroline Jacobs; Mary Jacobs Gedon (Dana, deceased) and her children Sam, Andy, and Juliana Gedon; beloved brother in law of, Rosemarie (Ira, deceased) Starnes, Lorrie (Nils) Gunnersen, Ellen (Lenny, deceased) Wlodarczyk, and Al (Ruth, deceased) Ryszka.

A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12, in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Cedar Road Chapel. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Buffalo, NY.

In lieu of flowers, you may choose a or the ASCPA.
