Vance E. Tysor III|
Norfolk - Vance E. Tysor III, 36, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2013 in the presence of his loving wife Kate Rosso Tysor. He lost his battle with cancer which he fought with a vengeance.
Vance was a 1994 graduate of Norfolk Collegiate School and a 1998 graduate of Hampden-Sydney College. He also attended the University of Richmond and Old Dominion College.
Vance was a devoted and loving husband to the love of his life, Kate, to which he was married for 5 years.
Survivors include his Mother Nancy Wester Tysor and his Father Vance E. Tysor Jr and wife Stephany D. Tysor.
A special thanks to Vance's employer, Vandeventer Black, for their support during his illness. The family would also like to thank the staff at Norfolk Sentara's River Pavilion and to the care received from all concerned at Virginia Oncology.
Visitation will take place between 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 24 at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts. Norfolk location. The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 25 at H.D. Oliver's Norfolk Chapel located at 1501 Colonial Avenue. Immediately following the funeral service a reception will be held at the Norfolk Yacht and Country Club, 7001 Hampton Blvd., Norfolk, Va. The family will hold a private graveside service.
