Chesapeake - On Sunday, Dec. 23rd, our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend went home to be with her Lord and Saviour to fly with the angels in the sky.
Mrs. Vivian Brickhouse was born in Norfolk County to the late Watson and Nanie Williams Smith. She was formerly employed at Frank's Truck Stop as a Short Order Cook and was a faithful member of First Baptist Church Crestwood where she served on the Senior Female Usher Board.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin L.Brickhouse, Sr.; 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Left to cherish her precious memories are 5 daughters, Flora (Curtis), Florenceteen, Janice (Jimmy), Patricia (Michael) and Linda; 3 sons, Melvin, Jr., Marvin (Diana) and Glenn (Veronica); 1 sister, Beulah; 24 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
A homegoing service will be held on Sat., Dec. 29th at 11:00 a.m. in First Baptist Church Crestwood in Chesapeake with Bishop Anthony B. Rodgers officiating. Interment will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The body will be placed in church Sat. morning at 9:00 a.m. Viewing will be at the funeral home Fri. from 3:00-6:00 p.m. Fitchett Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
