Vivian Siegfried Obituary

Vivian M. Siegfried VIRGINIA BEACH - Vivian (Grandma Bin to her grandchildren) M. Siegfried, passed away April 30, 2010, will be remembered by all as a person who always thought of others first. A kind, sweet, good-natured and gentle soul who rarely, if hardly ever, complained about the negative occurrences that usually happen in one's life. She always had a smile on her face even when her physical health began to fail. Still mentally alert at almost 94 years old, Vivian always looked on the bright side. Vivian had many friends at Russell House who always took the time to look after her needs when her eyesight began to fail because of her diabetes. She was especially fond of her grandchildren and great- grandchildren and looked forward to being with family on special occasions. Her relationship with her daughter, Marcia, was very close and they would discuss the various aspects of life and family well into the night, more like sisters than mother /daughter. She will be missed by all. She is survived by her daughter, Marcia S. DeMille and husband Frank of Virginia Beach; her son, Stephen Alan Siegfried, partner Carolyn Sharp and their son Alex of Richmond; grandchildren, Dustin A. DeMille of Tampa, Fla., Randall F. DeMille of Virginia Beach, Thomas B. DeMille, wife Melanie and their daughter, Ashley of Virginia Beach, Daniel L. DeMille, wife Erica and their son, Tyler of Fairfax, Jenna Veloz, husband Joe and their daughter, Gabriella of Fredericksburg. She was predeceased by her son, Robert Brooks Siegfried; her sister, Evelyn Alcock; and two brothers, Robert and Kenneth Meyerhoffer. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel, Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to SPCA. Condolences may be offered to the family at www. hollomon-brown.com.
