Walter Henderson Obituary

Walter Henderson Jr. NORFOLK - Walter Henderson Jr., 80, of the 3500 block of Mangrove Ave., passed away June 29, 2010. He was born Jan. 27, 1930 to the late Lynette Lane and Walter Henderson Sr. in Mobile, Ala. Walter retired after 30 years of service as a brickmason. He is survived by his wife, Mahalia Henderson; five daughters, Linda Clotworthy, Christine Riley, Cynthia Breckenridge, Clarissa Daniels and Kathy Nunnelly; three sons, Alfred, Wayne and Malcolm Henderson; one brother, James B. Henderson (Elizabeth); and a host of other relatives and friends. A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Metropolitan Funeral Service, Granby St. Chapel. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk. Family and friends will assemble at 830 Round Bay Road one hour prior to service for procession to the chapel.
