Wilton Point Obituary

Wilton Point Jr. NORFOLK - Wilton "Buddy" Point Jr., 90 years young, went home to be with the Lord Nov. 21, 2010. He was a World War II Navy veteran and a retired auditor from the Fleet Accounting and Disbursing Center of the U.S. Atlantic Fleet. He was an honorary member of the Old Dominion University men's tennis team and a member of Tidewater Tennis Center. He is survived by his cousins, Joan Smart of Newport Beach, Calif.; and Jean Warren of Fort Myers, Fla. Buddy also leaves behind many friends of the tennis community of Norfolk and Virginia Beach. A graveside memorial will be held Monday, Dec. 6, at 1:30 p.m. in Rosewood Memorial Park, 601 N. Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23462. Buddy,

I have such fond memories of spending time with you at the river and sharing Holidays with each other. You were the sweeted man and you will be truly missed. I loved seeing you this summer and will always have that memory to hold on to.

I have known Buddy for many years and remember dancing with him years ago. He was fun to be with but hadn't seen him for a while. We always sent cards at Christmas time. My deepest sympathy to the family. God Bless.
