Mike and Debbie....I think it was about this time last year when we ran into each other along with Michelle Dowdy at Pop's Hot Dogs. I am so very sorry for your loss. There are no words. I didn't know Zack, but just viewing the comments, I can tell that he was one of the Good Guys. My Thoughts and Prayers are with both of you and your family.

I'll never forget Zack. From the times you guys would come over and go fishing and hunting with my Dad, to back in the day when we were kids and him and Dustin picked on me and Jessica relentlessly. He's always been a great person. Were all going to miss him. My heart goes out to you, Mike Debbie and Bekah. You'll be in my prayers.

In deepest sympathy to the Jones Family~~ In this time of darkest sorrow, I am reminded of the words once spoken by Mother Teresa:"Never let anything so fill with you pain or sorrow, so as to make you forget the joy of Christ risen." My family and I are holding on to these words and the knowledge that we will see Zack again someday in Heaven. We will miss him terribly until then. We met Zack here in Ashburn and he worked with my daughter at Carahsoft and became a friend to my family. He was a special young man. I don't know you all personally, but my daughter, Jen and I recently visited Sedalia Baptist when Gracia Burnham spoke. You all were so pleasant and graciously welcomed us. Mike, Debbie, Rebekah ,we were sad to hear the news of Zack. I was just looking through pictures Sunday evening with our son Jordan's finance of when we came to see ya'll right after you moved to Sedalia. We also just lost our nephew last Sunday and I just wrote the following email to friends and family. I hope it brings comfort knowing we all will see them sooner than later. They are in our future. The email reads as follows:

He has sent me to tell those who mourn that the time of the Lord's favor has come. He will give beauty for ashes, joy instead of mourning, praise instead of despair. For the Lord has planted them like strong and graceful oaks for His own glory.
We can endure life's storms if our faith is deeply rooted in Christ alone.
This past week we said goodbye to my 29 year old nephew Dustin. An undetermined death took him away from his 2 children Devin 9 years old and Virginia 7 yrs old along with many family members and friends who will miss his smiling face and tender heart. He gave his life to Jesus 3 weeks ago wanting to learn how to rely on the One source in life that sustains us, carries us, forgives us, loves us in the valleys and over the mountains while enduring on earth. I'm not sure why God takes the young from us and leaves us with a wounded heart of sadness thinking if we would have done something different it would have kept them with us. All I do know for sure is that God knows. He knows the beginning from the end. He knows exactly how we are feeling, what we are thinking and He too weeps with us. Most of the time as you and I have lost loved ones before, just knowing others have wept with us speaks volumes. It says we care, we feel with a heart of compassion and that is a fruit of His spirit that can dwell within us if we allow. I am so thankful that our Heavenly Father knows and cares enough that he would leave His Journal of Life with us called the Bible to show us how we are to suffer through life's trials and tribulations but mostly how we are to LIVE in Faith, Hope and Love with the greatest of these being LOVE. May all of us never stop having Faith, Hope and loving others through Christ the author and finisher of our faith. May we glorify His Name (JESUS) through all things and represent to others and to ourselves who He Truly is, FAITH, HOPE and LOVE and the greatest of these is LOVE. His word says He LOVES US with and everlasting love. May we have the faith to believe it.
For all those who have believed and gone away to be with HIM if we believe we will see them again.
I pray you will feel Gods Love today and let Him be your source forever more.
May you feel the warm embrace of Our Fathers tender heart. Our love and tears go out to you until we meet again

I want to share with you the fact that although the pain is almost unbearable now - one day you will be able to think of all the wonderful times you shared with your son and you will be able to smile again. Mike, Debbie and Rebekah: I am an old, old friend of Laura Davis Poole. We went to college together. When I was considering going into ministry Laura arranged for me to speak with Mike. This was way back in 1992 but I bet you will remember, Mike. (I did indeed finish my M.Div. and work for the church). I was heartbroken when Laura wrote me on Monday morning and told me of this dreadful news. I am so very sorry. I have such respect for your family. I want you to know that someone here in New York City where I live is praying for you and I called my mother to ask for her prayers for you also. That is what we can do now for you but I REALLY care and I am more or less a complete stranger even to Mike.
