Joseph M. Ward

1988 - 2014 | Obituary Condolences
Joseph M Ward

Southern Shores, NC - Joseph Marion Ward, ('Joe Ward') 25, passed away on February 4, 2014. Born on July 5, 1988, Joe was the beloved youngest son of Jimbo and Millie Ward. Born and raised on the Outer Banks, Joe truely loved his home. Throughout his life, Joe genuinely enjoyed spending time with his family and close friends. Whether skimming, surfing, snowboarding, camping, cooking, tinkering with cars, playing Ward 'competition level' yard and board games, his warmth and affection always stood out. Joe had a witty sense of humor, a brilliant smile and a way of lighting up any room. Joe's infamous quote was, 'I've got my own style' and he definitely did. He loved his job and we are so appreciative for the confidence, belief and love his bosses and co - workers at Coastal Provision had for him.

Joe is survived by his parents, siblings Jason Ward and Blair Ward, nephew Jude Ward, niece Juliana Ward, as well as two aunts, one uncle, and numerous cousins that he loved so much. He was predeceased by his grandparents Joseph D. and Marian C. McGlohon, Dr. Benjamin Y. and Catherine G. Ward and one uncle. A remarkable celebration of Joe's life took place on Saturday, February 8 at Liberty Christian Fellowship with more than 800 in attendance to celebrate Joe's beautiful 25 years.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Outer Banks Relief Foundation – (outerbanksrelieffoundation.com) P.O. Box 545, Nags Head, NC 27959.
