Virginia Beach - Inger A. Pancoast-Edwards, 74, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2014 at the York Hospital. Born April 7, 1939 in Helsinki, Finland, she was the daughter of the late Karl A. Westerholm and A. Alice Backlund Westerholm. Mrs. Pancoast-Edwards was a graduate of High Point College, High Point, NC. She was a member and Past President of Finlandia Foundation Tidewater Virginia Chapter and a Trustee of Finlandia Foundation National, a member of the American Contract Bridge League, and was a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Arlington, VA, and American Business Women's Association.

She is survived by her husband, David E. Edwards, whom she married April 9, 1995; two children, Kristina Naggy and husband James of Virginia Beach, VA, and Erik Pancoast and wife Beverly of Gahanna, OH; three step-children, Simon Edwards of Morgantown, WV, Kalab Edwards and wife Katie of Waynesboro, PA, and Seth Edwards and wife Julie of Charlestown, WV; ten grandchildren; her brother, Hans Westerholm and wife Siri of Finland; and many special extended family members and friends. Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Dr. David L. Pancoast.

Inger was devoted to her family and friends. Her zest for life, sense of humor and laugh will be missed.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, at Heritage United Methodist Church, 815 Baker Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23462. A coffee reception will follow immediately in the church social hall. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Soiva International Music Camp at finlandiafoundation.org or the American Contract Bridge League Education Foundation at acbl.org.
