The Guest Book is expired.
Chesapeake - Thomas Lloyd Mordica, Sr. slipped peacefully out of this world on April 23, 2014. In his sixty-four years, Grumpy (as he is affectionately called by his grandchildren) lived many lives: as a surfer in Virginia Beach, serving his country in the Army, as an Old Dominion University baseball player, a physical education teacher in Great Bridge for thirty-seven years, a long-time member of his softball team, and as a most beloved father and grandfather. By his side for the last forty-four of those years was his faithful and loving wife Ava Harris Mordica, who is left to cherish his memory.
Grumpy's spirit will be carried on by his three children: Tommy Jr. and his wife Mary, Jeff and his wife Dawn, and Dara and her husband Matt Albert, and his seven grand children Henry, Beth Ann, Madison, Logan, Jack, Anna Gray, and Harrison.
Rev. Brian Rafferty will officiate a service celebrating his life on Monday, April 28 at 3 p.m. at Graham Funeral Home, Kempsville Rd, Chesapeake. Following the service the family will receive friends. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution to the National Parkinson Foundation, parkinson.org. Please visit grahamfuneralhome.com to sign an online book of memories and view the service if you are unable to attend.
