Thomas A. Lance

Chesapeake - Thomas "Buddy" A. Lance, 90, passed away with his family by his side, May 24, 2014. He was born in Georgia to the late William and Carra Lance. He was predeceased by his wife, Thelma W. Lance; son, Larry W. Wilson, one grandchild and his four sisters. He served his country in the US Army as a Sergeant in the South Pacific during WWII. He was a member of Great Bridge Baptist Church, the treasurer for Grandy Park Community Center for over 10 years, was a sales representative for 33 years with Lance, Inc., a member of Masonic Lodge No. 148 A.F. & A.M. and was a loving and caring neighbor.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Wayne C. Lance, Vernon Lee Wilson, Barbara Roberson, Alen Wilson, Gail Holloman, Rita Jones and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other family and friends.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 28, at 11 a.m. at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, 4569 Shoulders Hills Rd., Suffolk with Dr. Will Langford officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects Tuesday from 9 to 8 p.m. at Graham Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
