Norfolk - George W. Willoughby, Jr. was called home by our Heavenly Father on June 29, 2014. Born in Richmond, VA on May 10, 1947, George was predeceased by his parents, George, Sr. and Viola Willoughby; two brothers, Ricky and Rudolph Willoughby; and a sister Valerie Willoughby. George had a passion for cars which showed with each turn of the wrench at his business, C&P Auto Repair in Portsmouth, VA. He was a dedicated hunter and member of Dendron Hunt Club in Surry, VA. George was a valued friend to all that knew him and a mentor to many children who crossed his path. He is survived by a wonderful and dedicated wife, LaVerne Willoughby; daughter, Gloria Franklin: two sons, George III and Lamont (Tasha) Willoughby; daughter-in-law, Jaime Willoughby; sister, Diane Jackson; two brothers, Norman (Hao) and Daniel (Edna Levern) Willoughby; five grandchildren, Jenay, Sean, Joseph, Elijah, and Jacob; and a host of relatives and friends. Visitation will be Monday, July 7, 2014 from 12:00 PM -8:00 PM at Graves Funeral Home. The Homegoing Service will begin 1:00 PM Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Enoch Baptist Church, 5641 Herbert Moore Rd., Virginia Beach, VA with Minister Larry Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Albert G. Horton Veteran Cemetery in Suffolk, VA. Graves Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
