Virginia Beach - Clarence E. Wenger, 82, of Virginia Beach passed away August 9, 2014. He was born in Harrisonburg, Virginia and moved to Princess Anne County at an early age. He attended Kempsville High School and retired from Ford Motor Company after 32 years. He owned a local firewood business in Virginia Beach for 25 years. He was a long time congregation member at St. Francis Episcopal Church.
He was recently preceded in death by his wife Mary of 50 years. He leaves behind his daughter Kimberly Nicholson, her husband Kevin Nicholson and grandson Riley of Virginia Beach, his sister Norma Spangler of Spokane, Washington, and his brother Lonnie of Virginia Beach.
The family will receive friends and family from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at H. D. Oliver Funeral Apts., 2002 Laskin Road, Virginia Beach. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 14, 2014 at St. Francis Episcopal Church, 509 S. Rosemont Road, Virginia Beach to be followed by internment at Eastern Shore Chapel Cemetery, 2020 Laskin Road, Virginia Beach. A reception will follow the graveside service at St. Francis.
