Lynn Ledford Obituary
Lynn Ledford

Peninsula - Lynn Ledford passed away unexpectedly on August 12, 2014. Lynn was the daughter of the late John J. and Velva K. Jones of Shelby, N.C., and was born in Shelby on December 6, 1930. She was saved and baptized at an early age, and was always affiliated with a church wherever she resided. She has been a member of Liberty Baptist Church since 1975, and was a very faithful servant.

She was married to the late Eddie L. Ledford, Sr., and from that union were born: Bari Lynn, and Eddie L. Ledford, Jr. She graduated from Shelby High School in 1949 and attended several extension courses at Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio.

Lynn has been associated with Beltone Hearing Aid Company for the past 60 years, and was still working at the time of her death. She loved her patients and the fellowship she had with each of them.

She also worked for Arthur Murray Dance Studio, was a board member of the American Heart Association for 6 years, and was a member of the American Business Women's Association. She was also Board Certified in Hearing Instrument Sciences, a member of Beltone's President's Cup Club, and The Women's Exchange Club of Hampton.

With much love and many good memories, she leaves to celebrate her life a loving son, Eddie, Jr. and wife, Mary Jane; a loving daughter, Bari Lynn Grohler and husband, Chess Earman; six grandchildren, Eddie III, Gaston, and Keely Lynn Ledford, Joshua, Zachary, and Jessica Lynn Grohler; sister, Lavonda Lovelace of Shelby, N.C.; many nieces, nephews, and cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Lynn was loved by all who knew her. She bestowed her love, smile, radiant charm, and personality on everyone she came in contact with.

She possessed a big heart with a delight in sharing her blessings and gifts with others. Her demise diminishes us, but the heritage she leaves strengthens us.

The family will receive friends Sunday, at Liberty Baptist Church at 1:30 p.m., with a funeral service to follow at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Park. Peninsula Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
