Shauna R. Brown Obituary
Shauna R. Brown

Norfolk - Shauna Ronette Miller Brown was born on February 28, 1973 to Gary and Angela Butcher Miller in Norfolk, Virginia. As a child, she dreamed of being a teacher, an aspiration she would reach with distinction, serving as adjunct professor at Germanna Community College and Mary Washington University. An avid reader, Shauna also developed a love for writing, eventually becoming a journalism intern for the Virginia Pilot newspaper and a published author.

In 1991, Shauna graduated from Granby High School. After high school, she attended James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia where she excelled academically and immersed herself in campus life. In 1998, Shauna earned a master's degree in Technical Communication from the North Carolina State University. Shauna was a people person and loved to engage friends in discussions about life, motherhood, and pursuing dreams. Above all, she valued family and relished spending time with loved ones.

Shauna is survived by her husband Eric; two sons, Henry and Alexander; parents, Danny and Angela; two sisters, Sharisse Turnbull and Ashley Miller; two nieces, two nephews and a host of family and friends.
