Ruth Alice Criger|
Chesapeake - Ruth Alice Criger, 93, of Chesapeake passed away Saturday, August 30, 2014.
Born in Camden, North Carolina, she was the widow of Hobart M. Criger and was predeceased by sons, Paul Criger and Michael Ray Criger. Ruth was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Great Bridge Chapter No. 155 and the Daughters of America. She was also a founding member of Great Bridge Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons, David Criger and Julie McClung, and Roy Criger and wife Linda; grandchildren, Melody and David, Jr.; four great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 5, 2014 at the Great Bridge Chapel of Oman Funeral Home & Crematory, 653 Cedar Road, Chesapeake. Dr. Will Langford will officiate. The interment will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
