Chauncey Crenshaw Obituary

Chauncey Crenshaw NORFOLK - Retired Col. Chauncey F. Crenshaw went home to be with the Lord, Nov. 22, 2009, following a courageous 7-year battle with cancer. He is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Carolyn Wallace Crenshaw; five children, Dorinda F. Adams (Eric), Marnita D. Love (Eric), Aaron E. Crenshaw, Scott A. Crenshaw (Cidella) and Michael Crenshaw (Phoebe Penny); and 10 grandchildren. Col. Crenshaw is also survived by two sisters, Eloise Williams and Helen Jackson; one brother, Charles Crenshaw Jr.; numerous loving aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. The homegoing services for Col. Crenshaw will be Wednesday, Dec. 2, at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, 7516 Squirrel Hill Road, Herndon, Va., where he will lie in repose from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.; service to begin at noon. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Chauncey F. Crenshaw Endowment Scholarship fund at Norfolk State University Foundation. Arrangements by Greene Funeral Home Inc., Alexandria, Va.
