Steve Bukowski Obituary
Steve S. Bukowski NORLINA - Steve Stanley Bukowski, 55, died Monday, June 21, 2010 in Danville, Va. He was born in Detroit. Mr. Bukowski was preceded in death by his parents, Steve S. Bukowski and Jennie Krawzyk. Steve was a U.S. Navy Seal for 32 years, a member of the UDT Seal Association, a therapeutic foster parent to several children and a "darn" good dad. Steve Bukowski was indestructible, stubborn, loyal, far more honest than the normal person, and faced impossible odds. On June 21, 2010 when he inserted under the pearly gates of heaven, the Lord met with, "Welcome Home. The only easy day was yesterday." He is survived by his wife, Lynnette June Bukowski; his children, Stephen Stanley Bukowski and wife Shawna Terry of Charlottesville, Va.; his daughter, Sheri Lynn Bukowski of Redding, Calif.; his son, Aaron Timothy Bukowski of Norlina; a brother, Bob Bukowski of Savannah, Ga.; his sister, Rose Ball of Melford, Ohio; his sister, Eleanor Duffy of Youngstown, Ohio; his sister, Carol Nordine of Savannah; his mother-in-law, Sherry Van Campen of Virginia Beach; and countless other members of his extended family. The funeral will be held in the chapel at Blaylock Funeral Home in Warrenton, Sunday, June 27, at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends from noon until 2 p.m. before the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the UDT Seal Association, The Wounded Warriors Foundation and the O.A.S.I.S. group at www.oasisgrp.org.
