Pauline Hurd Memoriam

Pauline Rash Hurd
Pauline Rash Hurd passed away April 22, 2011. She was the youngest child of David Allen and Sallie Walke Rash of Ivanhoe, VA. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Billie Ray Hurd, her daughter Melissa Carpenter, and eleven brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her son, Phillip W. Hurd and wife Evelyn of Conyers, GA; one daughter, Deborah Wingfield of Richmond; son-in-law Jack Carpenter of VA Beach; and eight grandchildren: Jeffrey and Caitlin Hurd; E.C. Wingfield and Amanda Fuss; Heather, Jason, Christopher Carpenter and Amy Bryan; and four great-grandchildren. Also a brother-in-law, Charles Hurd and wife Ramona of VA Beach, many nieces and nephews, and a host of wonderful friends.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, which will be held on April 29 at 12:00 noon at Bliley's Funeral Home, 8510 Staples Mill Rd, Richmond. Interment at Westhampton Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Mount Vernon Baptist Church, 11220 Nuckols Rd, Glen Allen, VA 23509.

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal. I only hope that your fond memories can bring you peace and comfort. This has been a year of such loss. Hoping someday soon we can visit with each other. I know your mom and Melissa made me smile when we were younger.
