Archie Mack Wardrick
Chesapeake - Archie Mack Wardrick of Chesapeake departed this life on Nov. 12, 2011. He was born on Oct 27, 1954 to Raymond and Louise Wardrick in Franklin County, NC. He was employed at Metro Machine Corporation in Norfolk for 26 years.
Archie gave his life to the Lord about nine years ago and was a very faithful and active member of New Hope Baptist Church in Suffolk, where he served on the Deacon Board. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the Wardrick's Hunting Club.
Archie was predeceased in death by his father Raymond Wardrick and his daughter Tressa Lynch. He leaves to cherish his memories a loving wife, Denise Wardrick, two sons, Jacob and MacTavis Wardrick, a daughter, Stacy Wardrick, two granddaughters, LaShay and Aaliyah of Ronoake Rapids, NC., six sisters, Cora Jefferson and Francene Whitehead (Joeseph) of Hampton, Pattie Boone and Felicia Wardrick of Plainfield NJ., Myretta Wardrick of Louisburg, NC., Veronica Wardrick of Castalia, NC., three brothers, David Wardrick (Shirley), Milton Wardrick (Mary) of Louisburg, NC., and Raymond L Wardrick of Plainfield, NJ., a mother-in-law, Hazel S Martin of Chesapeake, three sister-in-laws, Pastor Patricia Hillard of Dumfries, Annette Lakes of Portsmouth, Bonita Ripley (Dondi) of Chesapeake, a brother-in-law, Sherman Martin of Chesapeake and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Sat. Nov 19, 2011 at 11 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Church, Suffolk, with the Pastor William Russell, presiding. Viewing will began at Steele-Bullock Funeral Home on Fri. from 12 noon to 6 p.m. with a wake service following from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Family and friends will assemble at 3445 St. Clair Dr., Chesapeake, at 10:15 a.m. for the procession to the church.
