Grant Forbes Obituary
Virginia Beach - Grant Forbes passed away unexpectedly on November 4, 2012. Grant was born in Virginia Beach where he has resided all his life. He is a 2011 graduate of Kellam High School and was attending Tidewater Community College.
Grant was an avid skateboarder and film maker and is known for his skate videos: "Shades Away" and "Midnight On the Run". He and his close friends loved traveling around the country gathering footage for his videos. He was known for his creativity, his art, and his laugh. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
Grant is survived by his parents, Gil and Robin Forbes, his sister, Caitie Forbes and his girlfriend, Kelli Bunner. He also leaves behind a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends who were all very important to him in life.
A memorial service will be held at H. D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Rd Chapel, on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be shared at hdoliver.com.

We were just talking recently about the fun the boys had each Halloween during middle school creating the haunted walkway behind your house, and the enthusiasm and creativity that came from Grant. My heart hurts for your terrible loss, & the pain you're going through. Grant was a special student to me, & I can picture his smiling face in my class. I'll never forget him drumming the song, September, at the talent show & getting his drums for our son. There are no words adequate to comfort you, but I want you to know that I've been praying for you & your family, & will continue to.
