Arnold Suess Obituary

Arnold Suess, Jr.
Virginia Beach - Arnold Phillip "Moose" Suess, Jr., 75, husband of Edith Mirian (Aric) Suess of 232 Beagle Gap Run passed away Thursday, January 31, 2013 at University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA.
Arnold was born in New Britain, Connecticut on December 5, 1937, a son of the late Arnold Phillip Suess, Sr. and Eleanor (Kane) McCrann.
Mr. Suess was a retired Navy Veteran serving on an aircraft carrier during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed hunting and the outdoors while his health allowed.
Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, Steven Suess of Virginia Beach; four step-sons, Jim Ayers, Chauncey Ayers, Jr., Charles Hirsch all of Virginia Beach and William Hirsch of Suffolk; three brothers, Robert F. McCrann, Jr. of Kensington, CT, William F. McCrann and Mark McCrann both of Southington, CT. and two granddaughters also survive.
A Graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 6, in the Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk, Virginia with full military rites provided by the United States Navy Honor Guard.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
