Virginia Beach - Nathan "Nat" Stowe rides again; he took his last trip Wednesday, March 27, 2013. He leaves behind his mother Mary E. Stowe of Chesapeake; his wife of 47 years Mary F. Stowe; his two daughters, Amy James and Denise Richardson; as well as his three grandchildren Joshua Stowe, Jordan Shannon and Elka James and a great-grandson Carter Stowe. Nat's pride and joy was his restaurant "Nat's Sports Bar and Grill" which he started 12 years ago. Prior to that he was employed as sales manager of Norfolk Beverage/Chesbay Company for thirty years where he was known and loved throughout the Tidewater area. His passions were riding his Harley Davidson and hours spent on the golf course at Stumpy Lake where the 15th hole gave him hell. The family wants to give thanks to all the staff at Sentara Virginia Beach General and Davita Dialysis Center on Camelot Drive for their compassionate care and support to the family. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, March 30 at 2 p.m. in First Baptist Church of Virginia Beach, 401 35th street with Pastor Steve officiating. Following the service a celebration to Nat will be held at Nat's Sports Bar and Grill, 404 Laskin Road, where we will join him in his last ride. In lieu of flowers please send donations to First Baptist Church of Virginia Beach. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.altmeyer.com.
