Virginia B. Warren
Suffolk - Virginia Bradshaw Joyner Warren, 95, of the 13400 block of Windsor Boulevard, went to be with the Lord on July 18, 2013. She was born in Southampton County, VA in November of 1917 to the late Percival Thomas and Flora Bradshaw Joyner. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul S. Warren; son, Joseph T. Warren; brother, John H. Joyner; and sister, Rachel J. Thomas.
She is survived by two granddaughters, Jennifer W. Neal and husband, Ronnie; Rebecca W. Deily and husband, Jason; five great-grandchildren, Travis and Philip Neal, Caleb, Abigail and Leah Deily; a daughter-in-law, Shirley H. Warren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Virginia was a former member of Campostella Heights Baptist Church and Ingleside Baptist Church. She was a current member of Windsor Baptist Church and the L.T. Hall Sunday School Class. In her younger days, she taught Sunday School, worked in Vacation Bible School, was a member of the Women's Missionary Union and was involved with the Homebound Ministry of Windsor Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 22, at 11 a.m. at the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, 509 W. Washington St., Suffolk, VA with pastors Thornton M. Frye and John D. Corson officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Building Fund of Windsor Baptist Church, P.O.
