Portsmouth - Essie H. Bailey, 84, a native of Greensboro, NC died on Thursday, January 23, 2014. Essie was predeceased by her husband James Bailey. She leaves to cherish her memory, a son Donald Bailey (Gwendolyn); grandsons, Donald Jr., B'Jon and Ronald. Home going services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, February 1, at Olive Branch Baptist Church, 2608 Airline Blvd. Condolences may be offered at www.metropolitanfuneralservice.com. Metropolitan Portsmouth.
