Henry R. Sanson|
Chesapeake - Henry Romero Sanson, 86, of Ravenswood, WV, passed away March 5, 2014, at Camden Clark Medical Center-Memorial Campus.
He was born April 9, 1927, in Brooklyn, NY, a son of the late Albert Romero Sanson and Yolande Decailleux Sanson.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Korean War and was a retired accountant for Allegheny Power. He attended the St. Matthew Catholic Church in Ravenswood.
He was a devoted husband and father, who loved nothing more than spending time with family. He was a musician, artist, writer and jack of all trades. Henry was a quiet thinker and intellect, yet was the life of the party.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Yencha Sanson; his children, Susan S. Woods, Henry J. Sanson (Vicki), Jeanette L. Krauland, and Jacqueline M. Taylor (Gilbert); grandchildren Nicole Carman, Danielle Sanson, Kenneth Woods, David Woods (Katya), Matthew Krauland, Michael Krauland, Ian Taylor, Andrew Parker and Shane Parker, 4 great grandchildren, and step children Mark Yencha, Julie Speece (Tom), and Linda Nichols (Garren). He is also survived by his siblings Yolanda Smith, Peter Sanson (Elaine), Cecile Carmody, and Louis Sanson (Stella).
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Elizabeth Sanson.
Memorial Mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday March 15, 2014, at St. Stephen Martyr Catholic Church with Father Brian Rafferty as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Stephen Martyr in Chesapeake, VA.
