Stanley Phelps Obituary
Norfolk - Stanley L. Phelps, 71, strong in his Christian faith was called home to be with the Lord, November 12, 2014. Stan was a long time resident of Norfolk.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Sharon, son James Phelps and wife Deanne of Chesapeake, daughter Samantha Vanhorn and husband Billy of Zuni, daughters Christina Phelps of Norfolk, Tanya Medina of Norfolk, Tami Brickhouse of Jacksonville, Fla., sister Jean Curry and husband Larry of South Hill, brother Jerry Phelps and wife Deborah of Appomattox, 16 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at Norview Baptist Church, 1127 Norview Ave, Norfolk, Va 23513. Pastor Mike Smith will officiate.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a charity of your choice. Cremation Society of Virginia is assisting the family.
