Katherine Newton
Burgess, 78, born in Boyeton, VA to the late Nellie and James Thomas Newton went home to be with the Lord December 11, 2014. She is predeceased by her husband Kenneth L. Burgess and survived by two brothers Joseph Thomas Newton and Clarence Abbit Newton. She was surrounded by her three children Kenneth L. Burgess, Jr. ,Trudy D. Burgess, and Judy B. Smith when she breathed her last breath here and first in heaven. Also left to cherish her memory are her twin grandsons whom she loved more than any earthly joy, Cameron Lynn Smith and Conley Dale Smith. Katherine was a devoted wife, mother, and loving Memaw.
Exodus 33:14 And he said, "My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest."
A memorial service will be held at Loving Funeral Home, 3225 Academy Ave, Ports, VA on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at 3:00pm. Online condolences may be made at www.lovingfuneralhome.com.
