Robert A. Oglesby

Chesapeake - Robert Allen Oglesby, 75, went to be with the Lord on July 6, 2016. Robert was born in Norfolk to the late Allen and Sarah Oglesby. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sisters, Shirley Beale and Helen Holland. Bob was a former deacon and long time member of Immanuel Baptist Church and retired as a supervisor with the Virginia Department of Agriculture.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 50 years, Judy Howell Oglesby; son, Lance Oglesby and his wife, Sheila; daughter, Karen Pierce and her husband, Jeff; grandchildren, Andrew, Seth and Jacob Oglesby, and Justin and Sarah Pierce; and his sister, Christine Melchiorre.

The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home & Cremation Services,1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake, on Sunday, July 10, 2016 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. A service to celebrate his life will be held Monday, July 11, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church, 1012 N. Battlefield Blvd.,Chesapeake with Pastor David Libengood officiating. Burial will follow at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Gideons International and to the HealthWell Foundation.
