Maxine Meadows Fehl, 86, of Lebanon Junction, died on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, at Hosparus Norton Pavilion in Louisville.
Born on Sept. 24, 1926, in Lebanon Junction to Dewey and Butrice Shelton Sowder, she was a former hostess for the Holiday Inn and a newspaper advertising agent for The Pioneer News in Shepherdsville.
She was survived by her first husband, W.H. Meadows Jr.; her son, Dan Meadows; parents, Dewey and Butrice Sowder; brother, Bill Sowder; and sister, LaVerne Rexroat Bryan.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, K.C. Fehl of Lebanon Junction; daughter, Susan (Gary) Bradbury of Shepherdsville; stepson, K.C. (Susann) Fehl II of Cantonment, Fla.; grandsons, Todd (Shannon) Bradbury and Anthony Meadows Pacheco; a granddaughter, Amy Bradbury; step-grandson, Kenny Fehl; great-granddaughter, Alexandra Bradbury; two step-great-grandsons, Kyle and Conor Delaney; and a sister, Barbara (Troy) Sloan of Mount Washington; plus many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services were at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 9, at First Baptist Church of Lebanon Junction with the Rev. Rick White officiating. Burial was in Lebanon Junction City Cementery. Visitation was from 2-8 p.m. on Thursday at Kappel Funeral Home in Lebanon Junction. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the First Baptist Church of Lebanon Junction Stained Glass Window Fund.
