Joanne Carpenter Obituary

Joanne M. Carpenter, 73, of Louisville, died on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville.
She was active as a volunteer in many organizations.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Carpenter; her sister, Virginia Derringer; and brother, Lynn Kendall.
She is survived by a son, Rick (Georgette) Carpenter of Tennessee; a daughter, Pam (Jim) Behler of Colorado; sister, Pastor Mary Wright of Kentucky; grandchildren, Tony (Lindsay) Kendall, Stacy (Kevin) Hall and Austin (Isabelle) Carpenter; and a great-grandson, Michael Hall.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 22, at Schmid Funeral Home in Mount Washington with burial in Mount Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday. Memorial donations may go to The Sanctuary at P.O. Box 91939, Louisville, 46291. On-line condolences may go to www.schmidfh.com
