Gillenwaters, E.B. - Shepherdsville  
E.B. "Gillie" Gillenwaters, 92, of Shepherdsville, died on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2015. Gillie was born in Monroe County to the late Ben and Fannie Gillenwaters. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in both the Pacific and Atlantic companies. He retired from Ford Motor Co. after 45 years of service and was a proud member of UAW Local 862 for over 70 years. Gillie was known as an avid horseman at quarter horse shows, where he would show and ride his quarter horses. He was a member of the Bullitt County Saddle Club and co-owner of Gillie's III Saloon with his sons. He was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Mildred Gillenwaters; and his daughter, Regina Gay. He is survived by his wife, Donna Gillenwaters; sons, Kirk (Linda) Gillenwaters and Mark Gillenwaters; stepdaughters, Lisa (Mike) Hampton and Cathy Carrier; grandson, Ty; and five step-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 23, at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Preston Funeral Home with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Sunday. Expressions of sympathy may go to in his memory.
