Smith, Deborah Kay - Mount Washington  
Deborah Kay Smith, 60, of Mount Washington, died on Friday, June 17, 2016. She was the former Debbie Hicks, a native of Campbellsville and a 1972 graduate of Fern Creek High School. She was a member of the Mount Washington Lions and Lioness Club and Riverview Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Lewis Hicks; and her sister, Joyce Gordon. She is survived by her husband, Harold Smith; two daughters, Bridget (Matthew) Linton and Brandi (Mike) Payton; son, Shawn Smith; her mother, Juanita Hicks; brother, Michael Hicks; and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21, at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home in Mount Washington with burial in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation from 3-8 p.m. on Monday and after 10 a.m. on Tuesday. Memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society, Kentucky Lions Eye Foundation or Ronald McDonald House. Stanfill, Newland W. - Hillview  
Newland W. "Buddy" Stanfill, 74, of Hillview, died on Saturday, June 18, 2016. He was preceded in death by his daughters, Darlene Marie, Donna Sue and Dana Lynn; and his parents, Ernest and Lucy Stanfill. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Marie Stanfill; sisters, Betty (Arnold) Wyatt, Maggie Lee Stanfill and Carol Ann Schmitt; 27 nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at Noon on Friday, June 24, at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home near Shepherdsville with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation from Noon until 8 p.m. on Thursday and after 9 a.m. on Friday.

John D. Thomas, 77, died on Tuesday, June 14, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Sylvia Thomas; brothers, Cliff Thomas and David Thomas; and two infant grandchildren, Gregory and Alice Pack. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, the former Mary Ann Spalding; children, Tobin (Peggy) Thomas, Donna Robinson, Debbie (Jimmy) Pack, John (Mary Beth) Thomas and Michael (Mia) Thomas; grandchildren, Wesley Thomas, Blake Thomas, Megan Thomas, Jayme Thomas, George Thomas, Dicey Thomas, Mance Thomas, Hueston Thomas, James Pack, Tommy Pack and Whitney (Josh) Bridwell; a great-granddaughter, Evelyn Kate Bridwell; brothers, Joe Thomas, Randell Thomas, Carl Thomas and Bobby Thomas; sisters, Amy Thomas, Edna Heuser, Joyce Thompson, Anna Schmalz, Betty Wise, Brenda Hellman, Sharon Thomas, Martha Dowell and Sharleen Ballard. Funeral Mass was held on Saturday, June 18, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Mount Washington with burial in St. Francis Cemetery. Schmid Funeral Home in Mount Washington was in charge of arrangements.

Walker, Albert Ray - Mauckport  
Albert Ray Walker, 76, of Mauckport, Ind., died on Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at Floyd Memorial Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion Wesley and Maudie Pearl Walker; and a brother, Jim Walker. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Walker; children, Sandra Ellsworth, Karl (Judy) Walker, Tina (Bill) Fortuna and Robert (Keith) Walker; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
