Norman Richard Lemme, of Mount Washington, died on Thursday, March 21, 2013, in Hollywood, Fla., where he was spending time with his family and watching spring training for the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team.
The native of St. Louis lived and practiced law in Bullitt County for over 40 years. He retired from his private practice 12 years ago but has recently served as city attorney for Mount Washington. He previously served as attorney for cities such as Shepherdsville, Fox Chase and Pioneer Village. He was a member of the Mount Washington United Methodist Church, Bullitt Masonic Lodge 155 and Salt River Masonic Lodge 180.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda; and his parents, Norman Floyd Lemme and Adele Kelleher Lemme.
He is survived by his son, Matthew Richard (Holli) Lemme; daughter, Claire Juliana (Carlos Sulsona) Lemme, and Rachel McKelvey, who is Linda's daughter; and four grandchildren, Abigail C. Lemme, Mark Richard Lemme, Maya Camille Sulsona and Juliette Leilani Sulsona.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 28, at Mount Washington United Methodist Church with burial in Mount Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be from Noon until 8 p.m. on Wednesday at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home in Mount Washington and after 9:30 a.m. on Thursday at the church.
