Amy Elizabeth Hodge Shelton, 48, of Louisville, went home with her Lord on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017.
Amy will always be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother and sister who loved her nieces and nephews as thought they were her own. She was a spiritual woman with a great love and devotion for her Lord.
She was a member of Fern Creek Baptist Church and a lover of crafts.
She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Joe Shelton; her son whom she adored, Noah Shelton; her mother, Jeannie (John) Kern; her father, Jody (Patsy) Hodge; three sisters, Ann (Steve) Hopkins, Nancy (Jimmie) Pennington and Tammy Hodge; two brothers, Jeff and John (Mary) Hodge; four step-sisters, Christal (Paul) Siglock, Jaime (David) Maiden, Tina Kern and Kathy (Bruce) McHargue; a step-brother, Jeff (Sherry) Kern; her mother-in-law, Sherry Shelton; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Robby (Debbe) Shelton, Jenny (Dale) Marksbury and Jesse Moss; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A celebration of Amy's life will be held at Noon on Thursday, Dec. 7, at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home in Mount Washington with burial in Highland Memory Gardens, also in Mount Washington.
Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. on Wednesday and after 9 a.m. on Thursday.
