Billy Ford Swearingen, 80, of Mount Washington, died on Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017.
He was a retired millwright for Sanvik, served in the National Guard, was a former volunteer with Army MARS, and was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Mount Washington.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Melinda Swearingen-Kessler; brother, Bobby Swearingen; and his parents, Ford and Catharine Swearingen.
Billy Ford is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mabel Nutt Swearingen; a son, Barry (Meagan) Swearingen; and three grandchildren, Bryana Clark, Alexis Harrison and Maddi Swearingen.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Sept. 9, at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home in Mount Washington. Memorial gifts may take the form of contributions to Hosparus of Louisville.
