Cecil R. Gentry, 91, of Zoneton, died on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013. < br /> He retired after 35 years of service with General Electric. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II Pacific, member of VFW Post and Little Flock Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mary Gentry.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marjorie Mathys Gentry; sons, Allen (Connie) and Wayne (Sandy) Gentry; daughter, Sue (Butch) Pate; brother, Charles Gentry; grandchildren, Devin (Tony) Rossini, ,Patsy (Gregg) Allen, Clint Gentry, Angie (Kevin) Campisano and Veronica Allen; great-grandchildren, Ava and Mia Rossini, Daniel Campisano and Kaela Poteet; and great-great-grandchildren, Addison, Bryce, Presley and Lillian.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14, at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home in Shepherdsville with burial in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. on Wednesday.
Expressions of sympathy may go to Hosparus. This family thanks the nurses at VA for their special care.
