Elizabeth H. "Betty" Larimore, 96, of Shepherdsville, died on Wednesday, April 9, 2014.
Betty was a teacher for 34 years in the Bullitt County Public School System. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Shepherdsville, the Bullitt County Retired Teachers Association and the Kentucky Education Association. She was named Kentucky Business Education Association outstanding teacher in 1979 and was inducted into the first annual Bullitt Central High School Hall of Fame in 2012.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Hallye Hibbs; and her husband, Roy Larimore.
She is survived by one son, Craig (Karen) Larimore; grandchildren, Polly Beth (Chris) Reynolds, Drew Larimore and Jordan (Cody) Larimore; and great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Luke.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, at First Baptist Church of Shepherdsville with burial in Hebron Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Friday at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home near Shepherdsville and after Noon on Saturday at the church.
